The Collaboratory
AN ARTISTIC UNION OF LIVE PERFORMANCES.
The Collaboratory is a group/concept/series, curated by longtime friends and event maestros, Carnage The Executioner/TERRELL X (Improvisational Jazz Human Beat Boxer, Rhythmic Storyteller) and DJ Piecemeal (Song Mash-Up Technician, Impromptu Track Supplier). This was originally a broadcast featured on the TWITCH livestream platform, before making its way to venue stages with live audiences.
For the past 4 years, Carnage and Piecemeal have been presenting genre-bending music that centers around the symbiosis occurring between new and seasoned artists who respect one another’s crafts. Sometimes, Carnage and Piecemeal let loose on stage as a unit with a mix of planned material and in-the-moment composition. When others are involved, each featured artist will perform their own set. The night usually ends with all engaging in an unplanned, unrehearsed collaboration. With Human Beat Boxing, turntablism, vocalization and live instrumentation featured on the same stage, something great is bound to happen!

The Collaboratory will arrive ready to rock out anywhere: their performance is fully mobile, as they can bring their own sound system, or work with what’s available at venues. Book Carnage The Executioner and DJ Piecemeal so they can show and prove that there’s no musician they can’t share a stage with!
