Terrell X’avion is a fearless, multi-dimensional artist and music instructor, who draws from a vast well of influences across musical genres. Terrell has been composing, recording, and traveling the world for over 30 years, blending jazz improvisation, classic hip hop precision, and rock energy, with live looping and human beat boxing.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
On the hottest day of the year on a street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, everyone’s hate and bigotry smolders and builds until it explodes into violence. Featuring a star-studded ensemble cast including Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Giancarlo Esposito, John Turturro, the feature film debut of Martin Lawrence and Rosie Perez, and Samuel Jackson (before the L).

This is the culminating event of their #SpringAheadTour, featuring an unscripted jam session at the only Black American-owned record shop in the Midwest! Urban Lights facilities a collaborating army of local DJ’s, emcees and producers — curated by Carnage performing live beat box loops — for an evening of pure, raw, Independent Hip Hop energy. About the Film:
He Who Gets Slapped is a 1924 American silent psychological thriller tragedy film starring Lon Chaney, Norma Shearer, and John Gilbert, and directed by Victor Sjöström (credited as Victor Seastrom). The film was written by Victor Seastrom and Carey Wilson, based on the Russian play He Who Gets Slapped (Тот, кто получает пощёчины; Tot, kto polučájet poščóčiny) by playwright Leonid Andreyev, which was completed by Andreyev in August 1915, two months before its world premiere at the Moscow Art Theatre on October 27, 1915.[5] A critically successful Broadway production, using an English language translation of the original Russian by Gregory Zilboorg, was staged in 1922, premiering at the Garrick Theatre on January 9, 1922, with Richard Bennett playing the "HE" role on stage.[6][7] The Russian original was made into a Russian movie in 1916.

Berlin is proud to partner with Radio K—the University of Minnesota’s beloved, eclectic college radio station—on Sundays in January! Each night will pair a live act with a Radio K alum DJ.
This evening, Terrell X (aka Carnage the Executioner) will show you how it’s done. This veteran hip-hop artist has been a Radio K favorite throughout the years, and we’re excited to host him as a headliner at Berlin for the first time.
